CX stands for Customer Experience and as you probably know by now, it includes all those bits and pieces and that make up for an enhanced buyer experience; the ones that make all the difference in the purchasing process. It goes without saying the online market has developed its own way of incorporating CX approaches in its niche. CX younger sibling is called UX- User Experience.
UX's goal is primarily a better computer-human interaction. That means it is both a practical and a experiential approach: You have to improve the product, but you also have to work the human experience angle. UX professionals opt to connect the products with positive emotional signals: Nivea's classic blue box cream is a classic example. Developed in 1911, it was the first stable water-in-oil emulsion of the kind. The cream was originally marketed as a multi-purpose hand, face and body moisturizer and softener. A few decades later, the brand's message to consumers changed: Nivea's cream was no longer an innovative multi-purpose cosmetic made out of lanolin. It is now the cream that your grandmother and after her your mother used, the one she also used to care for you as a kid when you got irritated skin. Nivea no longer sells you cream, it sells you feelings of nostalgia, affection, feelings of being carefree, loved and important. The cream recipe has improved over the years- how could it not?, but the main ingredients have stayed the same. You still get a quality product, but your user experience is different. Your grandmother's attitudes towards the cream simply aren't comparable to yours. UX design Singapore also has applications in the workforce environment. A better work experience makes employees more productive, which makes the final user's experience better. Henry Ford was a pioneer in the field. He experimented with the work force in his own production sets to find out what incentives he could give to them to make them more efficient. For example, he paid them higher wages, gave them free new cars every few years (when cars were still considered a luxury item) and reduced the hours of the working week. And he did all that in an effort to cut down on costs and boost sales.
